ABOUT CSSD and CETT:
In 2005, The Central School of Speech and Drama was awarded CETL (Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning) funding in recognition of its status as one of the leading Higher Education institutions in the country delivering theatre training. The Centre for Excellence in Training for Theatre (CETT) was created by CSSD to provide a national resource for vocational performing arts training and learning, a focus for theatre research and scholarship, and a site for collaboration, nationally and internationally, between industry, higher education and specialist training providers.
The Central School of Speech and Drama is a leading provider of training in puppetry and object theatre, through running the only UK BA in Puppetry, its MA course in Theatre Practice and extensive puppetry activity within the School's Performance Arts, Acting BAs, DATE and postgraduate courses.
