puppetry in the uk
- COMPANY: The Puppet Centre Trust VENUE: Little Angel Theatre DATES: Wed 4 Nov, 3-5pm PRICES: All tickets £5
British puppetry is alive and thriving but where is it happening most, what are the hotspots, opportunities and trends across the country? The Puppet Centre Trust has invited a collection of artists and programmers from North, South, East and West to share their vision of where puppetry's at in their region. Join us to create a puppetry map of the pick of the UK's projects, venues, festivals and new initiatives. The discussion will be followed by time to chat and network at the Little Angel Theatre.
We have invited the following practitioners to share their vision of where puppetry is at in their region:
Simon Hart – Puppet Animation Scotland
Clive Chandler – Puppeteers UK
Joy Haynes – Norwich Puppet Theatre
Alison Duddle – Horse + Bamboo Theatre
Helen Hodge – Blind Summit
Rachel McNally – Bristol Festival of Puppetry
This symposium will be chaired by Professor Anthony Dean, Winchester University and the event will be introduced by Peter Glanville, Artistic Director of Little Angel Theatre and Suspense Festival.
